On March 10-18, 2012, The Center for Missional Leadership will host our flagship program for discipleship and training of missionaries, "Life is Mission" in the areas near Lima, Peru. We will also host the program again on July 21-29, 2012.
The mission and training will be coordinated byTorre Fuerte, our missions training partner in and around field locations near Lima. Torre Fuerte is currently coordinating and caring for two orphanages (Rebano de Jesus and Juan Pablo), planting and developing churches in impoverished areas, and developing micro-business programs that meet the requirements for integral mission. Beginning in the winter of 2011, Torre Fuerte is establishing a discipleship school for church leaders that will serve the 41 churches located in the Lima and Amazon areas of Peru.
During the short-term mission training for "Life is Mission," participants will learn how to gain purpose for their lives and how to live out all of life as their primary purpose in integral mission. The program is conducted in a foreign context and participants will encounter practical applications for everyday mission back at home.
